Singlefile Single Vineyard Pemberton Pinot Noir

$35.00 A BOTTLE

Singlefile Single Vineyard Pemberton Pinot Noir

A fuller styled pinot with lifted aromas of sour cherries, earthiness and spice. These characters follow through on the palate with a medium weight and textured mouth feel with soft tannins and a long finish. This wine is well suited to complement game meat dishes.

WINEMAKING NOTES

Singlefile Wines was co-founded in 2007 by geologists Phil and Viv Snowden, along with their daughter Pam and son-in-law Patrick Corbett. They all had successful careers prior to the establishment of Singlefile, but their pathways became inextricably woven together thanks to their shared love of wine. Patrick and Pam lived in Italy as a young couple, which crystallised their appreciation for exceptional wines. Reuniting with Phil and Viv over summer holidays gave the family an opportunity to discover Old World wine regions together, planting the seed for creating their own winery.

FOOD PAIRING

A perfect match with duck, casseroles and stews like Beef Bourguignon! Also great with fish and pasta dishes.

TASTING NOTES

The pinot noir grape variety is well suited to the cool climate environment of
the Pemberton region. The pinot noir fruit from Eastbrook vineyard typically
has strong varietal characters. All viticulture and winemaking techniques
followed are done so with the goal of promoting the unique characters of the
Eastbrook vineyard. In 2020 a warm spring brought about an early start to
ripening. Even temperature days and cold nights helped to retain natural
acidity in the fruit and allow full flavours to develop.
