Chestnut Grove Reserve Chardonnay
$40.00 A BOTTLE
WINEMAKING NOTES
Manjimup often has the coldest maximum temperature in Western Australia. The long, and relatively cool growing season, and the fertile jarrah and karri loam soils create the terroir which is perfect for growing intensely flavoursome grapes. Estate grown fruit from small batch selection was used to craft this cool climate Chardonnay. Naturally clarified juice went to New French oak barrels to complete wild fermentation over several weeks before traditional batonnage methods used for 2 months.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect with grilled marron or scallops, pasta and risotto. Ideal to enjoy with your favourite cheese platter!
TASTING NOTES
This Chardonnay creates an integrated rich palate but retains the elegance and structure of natural acidity. A perfect golden hue in colour, it tastes of light grapefruit and white peaches. A perfect accompaniment to local marron. 13.5% Alcohol
